February 4, 2019 Dmitry Medvedev (Prime Minister of Russia) signed a government decree on state subsidies to the tourism sector in Russia. Subsidies will be distributed in 22 regions of Russia. For these purposes, the federal budget provides for about 21 billion rubles for this year and the next two years. First of all, the allocated money will be spent on infrastructure: new comfortable hotels, campgrounds, cafes, car rental and others.
Another question concerns the tourist centers of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. It is important that these regions catch up with other regions of Russia as quickly as possible. – said Dmitry Medvedev.
Recently, the Russian government has become seriously engaged in the development of the tourism industry in Russia. Infrastructure is one of the key points in this industry. Russia is a very huge country. It often happens that it is the absence of infrastructure that affects the lack of tours to interesting, unique, but difficult to access places in Russia. The development of infrastructure will increase the number of interesting tours to Russia.
